Palans
électriques à chaîne à vitesse fixe et 2 vitesses
ChainMaster also offers a two-speed
chain hoist which offers unique features:
· One 4-conductor cable
· Direct or contactor control
· Patented friction clutch
· Physical limit switch preventing the chain to come out
· Smaller weight and size (ChainMaster 1 ton and 2 ton = Columbus-McKinnon _
ton)
· Jam-Free technology
We carry fixed
speed chain hoists both in Direct Control and Contactor Control versions.
Direct
Control Philosophy
We really want to
promote the Direct Control for our 1 ton and smaller chain hoists. Direct
control means that the contactor is not installed in the hoist itself, but in
the distribution (controller) box. This means that only one cable (the
control cable) has to run between the distribution and the hoist itself.
With the direct control, you can even use a 410 multicable (Socapex,
Veam,...) to control up to 4 hoists, saving you even more cable.
Advantages of
Direct Control (one cable required only):
- Savings on cable cost and maintenance at
purchase
- Time and labor savings during install
- Smaller and lighter cable pick for
multi-points rigs
- Less problems due to bad cable
- Easy access to the contactor in case of
malfunction, easier to troubleshoot
General
advantages of our hoists
- Smaller in size and lighter (our 1 ton is
approximately the size of a 1/2 ton CM and about 5 pounds more)
- Compact: easy to fit in trussing
- Come with a block stopper to prevent the
chain from coming out of the motor
- Come with a "Jam Free" plate for
the chain
- Come in a broad variety of configurations
- Use a smaller and lighter chain for the same
load (RUD chain)
- Chain bag with anti-drip design
- Are designed in compliance with VBG-8 and
VBG-70 regulations. These are really strict safety regulations from
Germany. Contact us for more info.
History
When President Jacques Tanguay, a
30-year veteran in the Canadian stage lighting and touring industry, saw
the ChainMaster VarioLift variable speed chain hoist for the first time at
PLASA Trade Show in London in 1998, he was totally fascinated.
Back in Canada, Mr. Tanguay founded
Show Distribution Group Inc. in Sainte-Foy, Quebec, with Mr. Claude Goulet
in August 1999 and became the exclusive distributor of ChainMaster chain
hoists and controllers in North America.
"Introducing these European high-technology products with the worldwide highest safety standards in the stage industry and tremendous variable speed (from 8' to 95'/min.) in North America has been our first priority." says Tanguay.
"Our concern about customer
service and equipment maintenance has led us to inaugurate a service center
in Colorado Springs, CO in March 2000. We also hired a full-time Sales
Representative on the West Coast (based in Los Angeles, CA) in July 2001 to
service the Western States."
MAJOR CLIENTS
Since November 1999, we have had the
chance to use Vario-Lift chain hoists on more than 150 shows. Our motors
had to go through the bumpy roads of rock n'roll and special events, both
with tours and one-offs. Their reliability has been proved with events and
clients such as:
