Niscon Inc. will showcase the RAYNOK IMPERIUM console from Show Distribution during the ProLight & Sound trade show in Frankfurt from April 15 to 18 2015, to promote its RAYNOK motion control software.
Show Distribution is proud to announce that Jack Richard has received the Top Dog Award for Rigger of the year 2014. Jack received the Award during the Tour Link annual conference in Palm Springs CA at the beginning of January. This conference which brings together all the players involved in the North-American touring industry, gives out awards for people and companies that have distinguished themselves over the course of the year. Jack was awarded the prize for his work on the Black Keys Tour. Everybody at Show Distribution wishes to congratulate Jack and all the others winners.

These awards, voted on by all PLASA Members attending the LDI Show, recognize outstanding new entertainment technology products. Awards are bestowed in three categories:

• Gadget: product that is physically small enough to fit in a pocket or small backpack, or software with a file size no larger than 100 megabytes
• Equipment: product that is physically too large to fit in a pocket or small backpack, or software with a file size larger than 100 megabytes

Show Distribution announces the nomination of Alexandre Lefrançois as Technical Director, Hoists and Automation. His main responsibilities will focus on the set-up of procedures and follow-up for the certification of chain hoists.
Alexandre has been a part of the show business scene since a very young age. He has toured South America and Europe with Cirque du Soleil’s Varekai and Saltimbamco shows before taking on the role of lighting technician for many shows and tours, notably Britney Spears and Alicia Keys, at Solotech. He later moved on to become technical lighting coordinator.
With this nomination, Show Distribution wants to redevelop its certification department and offer its clients a better and broader customer service.
Quebec City, October 16 2014– Show Distribution, maker and distributor of the Tour Series Chain Hoists has just unveiled its new IMPERIUM Console. This console runs the same intuitive and reliable Raynok Software that operators have come to appreciate, in a compact and feature rich package.
The versatility and simplicity of the IMPERIUM Console puts the power and control of all motion functions at every operator’s fingertips. They can call and recall functions and cues with the press of a single button. Programmable macro buttons also allow operators to customize their desktop to not only save time but improve efficiency and safety.
Other features include a MS WindowsTM Operating System, a built-in touchscreen, a HDMI monitor output for a crisp and clean image, an integrated Hold-To-Run (HTR) safety device, a fully integrated Emergency Stop System Control, an encoder wheel for speed scaling of axes in motion and a live back-up function on secondary devices.
Its sleek ergonomic design offers a full function keyboard, several USB ports for peripherals, multiple network ports and an onboard joystick for manual movements, in a 19” wide format for road-case integration.
This new console will be on display at the LDI 2014 in Las Vegas, booth 1931, from September 21 to 23, 2014.

Show Distribution Corporation has recently announced the purchase of all capital stock of Niscon Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, a company specializing in the design, engineering and implementation of motion control systems. Founded in 2001 by Joseph Jeremy and Peter Sinkner, Niscon developed the acclaimed Raynok software to make complex movements simple to execute.
Niscon’s products will be integrated into Show Distribution’s rigging portfolio and will allow the company to offer turnkey solutions to live event professionals and particularly to the touring industry as well as for permanent installations.
Show Distribution is pleased to welcome Bernard Thériault, formerly from Arcofab, as Senior Consultant for the company. Mr. Thériault will bring his vast experience in the fabrication and distribution of aluminium trusses to expand an already full line of staging equipment offered by Show Distribution. Former lighting designer, Mr. Thériault established Arcofab in 1993, a world renowned company for its quality and service in the manufacturing of trusses and aluminum structures, which closed down last year after twenty years in the business. We are happy to have him as part of our team.
In order to accommodate a growing demand, Show Distribution has moved its Agoura Hills office to larger and more modern facilities in Sun Valley, CA. Our 5,000 sq ft warehouse now holds an even bigger selection of staging equipment for sale or rental. This new location will also facilitate delivery and installation and bring us closer to the Glendale Entertainment District.
